Vern Snethun, pilot and photographer from Lougheed, and member of the Iron Creek Flying Club, sent The Community Press some aerial photos.
He flew over the areas of both grass fires from April 11, showing just how big these fires were when seen from the air.
Snethun also sent a photo of wind turbine parts on cars parked at the Hardisty train terminal, awaiting transportation to Halkirk’s new wind farm.
