87-year-old driver dies in collision in Wetaskiwin County
On June 25, 2024, at approximately 2:14 p.m., Breton RCMP received a report of a serious collision involving a Dodge RAM truck and a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 22 in Wetaskiwin County, Alta.
Breton RCMP attended and Emergency Medical Services and Fire Services were already on scene. The 87-year-old female driver of the Ford Ranger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 36-year-old male driver of the Dodge RAM was uninjured.
Although the collision is still under investigation, Breton RCMP’s preliminary investigation indicates the RAM was heading northbound on Highway 22 when it collided with the Ford Ranger that entered the intersection.
