Prism Integrated Solutions, a family owned and operated oilfield equipment manufacturing business headquartered in Forestburg, is poised for growth.

In fact, co-owner Cal Rajewski is eyeing a doubling of the company’s staff, which currently numbers between 20 and 30.

“We’re small, in our mind, right now, but we’re planning on being a much bigger entity soon,” Cal says.

“I would say over the course of the next year to two years, we want to double the staff, at least. As long as the people are available, that’s our plan.

“Our main goal is to provide good-paying, stable jobs for our employees, right now, and for the employees we hope to have in the future.

“We’re hoping to be a major driver of economic growth in the region.”

Prism manufactures a wide range of oilfield equipment that is shipped internationally and to all parts in between.

“We manufacture flare stacks, the ignition systems to go with them, detonation and flame arrestors that are also used with the flaring systems, and tank vents and associated products for the venting requirements on the sites,” Cal explains.

“They go all over Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan – pretty much everywhere in North America, and we do have clients worldwide, as well.”

Prism has been located in Forestburg for about 15 years, notes Cal. Prior to that, the business operated out of Stettler.

“We sold that operation and decided to start up again in Forestburg,” Cal says. “Everyone was very welcoming and ready to help us out with what we needed.”

To help propel the growth of the business over the years, Prism has relied on word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied customers.

“We do a good job for them,” Cal adds.

“They move around in the industry, and as they move, our reputation goes with them.”

Prism prides itself on striving to make products as cost-effective and readily available as possible, as well as creating and modifying designs for “niche products that others don’t have the knowledge or facility to build.”

When asked what sets Prism apart from the competition, Cal doesn’t hesitate to respond: “I would say: Our drive every day to be better than we were the day before, and to always be finding new solutions to problems, and just being better at our jobs.”
