From the Archives (1925): Daysland People Show Good Spirit

Daysland People Show Good Spirit

Originally published May 23, 1925 – Another instance of friendly spirit in the Daysland district was shown this week when the men of the neighbourhood assembled at the farm of the late Charles Richards on Tuesday.

Those willing helpers brought 143 horses, 19 plows, four harrows and four drills. They also brought their own mid-day lunch. Working all day they plowed, harrowed, and seeded 50 acres of oats.

It will be remembered that Mrs. Richards passed away a few weeks ago. Mrs. Richards has left the hospital with her twin babies, and is staying at present with Mrs. A. Ross.

Although she has not entirely regained her health, this expression of practical sympathy from the neighbours will help to lighten her loneliness and shower her the true hearts of the people among whom she has been living for a few months.
