Got an idea for a customized item – anything from decals and magnets to clothing and large or small signs?

Chances are the folks at Main Street Medley in Alliance can make it happen, whether it’s through embroidery, engraving, laser etching, sublimation, or direct-to-garment printing.

“Our motto is: ‘Your imagination is our only limit,’” says owner Laurie Fuller.

“It’s amazing what people bring in for us to do, like horse blankets, a rifle stock, a two-by-four, and those 4-H boxes; the kids want their name and the 4-H symbol on them. There’s very little we can’t do here.”

Fuller opened the one-of-a-kind shop on Alliance’s main street in September 2003 with a vinyl heat press and sublimation services.

Over the past 15 years, Main Street Medley has grown and evolved into a one-stop shop for all things customizable.

“I never dreamed this would be like this because we started out just doing vinyl heat transfers and vinyl signs,” Fuller says. “I just can’t imagine how big it’s gotten – like we ship to all over. We’ve shipped to Hawaii, the States, and down east.”

Fuller credits much of that success to her long-held business philosophy of giving each customer the utmost attention and making every order the best possible.

“Everybody that walks through the door is treated the same, whether they want one item or 100 items. Everybody is special to us,” she explains. “The biggest joy we get is seeing the smile on their face when they pick up a customized item.”

Fuller and staff have also been known to deliver finished products on their travels throughout the region.

“I have a drop-off at TNT in Sedgewick,” she adds. “Tara (TNT co-owner and Fuller’s daughter) is always good about putting on Facebook: ‘I’m going to go down and see my mom, does anybody need anything?’ and right away she gets 10 people needing things or wanting her to pick things up.

“Or if they can’t come until Saturday (when the store is closed), I’ll meet them down here. We try to accommodate everybody.”

Fuller says it was her daughter Tara who helped her come up with the business name back in 2003.

“I phoned her up one morning and said, ‘I don’t know what to call this. We do so much.’ So we started going through the dictionary and we were kind of like a fruit salad, so we said Main Street Medley,” she recalls.

“It just kind of stuck.”
