Two resign from Lougheed Village Council

Lougheed Mayor Debra Smith confirmed last Friday that Lougheed Council received resignations from councillors John Coggin and Dave Twerdochlib.




According to the Municipal Government Act (MGA) resignation from Council becomes effective the date it is received by the CAO of a municipality.

Lougheed still has three council members, Smith, Susan Armer, and Joe Cameron, and can continue to meet quorum, Smith says.

Council voted earlier in the year to reduce the total number of Council seats for Lougheed from five to three, Smith says.
