Thieves hit Flagstaff area hard just before New Year’s Eve

On Dec. 30, RCMP were contacted by several businesses within the surrounding communities reporting ‘Break and Enter’ and ‘Theft’ overnight. The following are the incidents:




RCMP were contacted by Marvin’s Auto Glass in Sedgewick on Dec. 30, who stated that the main entrance located on the south side of the building was broken into.

The suspects caused damage to the door, leaving pry marks, and breaking the dead bolt off of the door.

The suspects entered the main office but nothing was stolen. A neighbouring business had surveillance which showed a white dually truck driving to the location at 01:45 hrs.

RCMP were contacted by Rocky’s Trucking, located in Daysland, on Dec. 30.

They were reporting a ‘Break and Enter’ and ‘Theft’ that had occurred overnight.

The suspects gained entry into the shop by prying the north door open. The door frame was split.

A red generator, light plant was stolen, valued at $700. The generator has a Rocky’s Trucking sticker on it. The theft occurred at approx. 03:00 hrs.




RCMP received a call from H & P Neufeld Fabrication Inc, located in Lougheed, on Dec. 30.

There, a staff member stated that all the doors were unlocked and that there were papers on the ground. He said that the locks had been recently changed and that the building had been secured.
