November RCMP report – stolen truck in Killam

rcmp-logo-largeOn Nov. 4 at 09:00 hours Killam RCMP received a call from a male reporting that some electrical wire had been stolen off of his property in Amisk the night before.

He stated that about 50 feet of service cable was stolen, as well as about 700 feet of electrical wire (seven to eight spools about the size of a paint can).

The service cable (14.1 gauge) was trenched into the ground and attached to the house. The black service cable should have #2 aluminum cable written on the outer layer with a wax pen.




On Nov. 5, Killam RCMP were advised of a vehicle theft which had occurred overnight.

A male reported to police that someone had stolen his truck. The vehicle had been parked off the roadway by his new residence on 46 Street in Killam.

The truck is described as a two-tone black/grey Dodge Ram pickup with large tires and a front winch bumper. It was stolen sometime between late afternoon and 03:00 hours. The truck was locked at the time.

On Nov. 8, RCMP Killam received a call from a male stating that his home, located on Range Road 155 and Township Road 422 (north of Forestburg) had been broken into.

The farm house is not lived in. The door to the home had been kicked in and all rooms had been gone through. Clothes, trinkets, and the pump from the basement was stolen. Culprit(s) also broke into the garage and stole several items including a drill press, wood lay, electric pump, and various hand tools with approx. value of $3,000. Fuel was also siphoned out of the grain truck in the yard.

On Nov. 9, a female called Killam RCMP to report that her son’s vehicle had been damaged while it was parked behind the Killam arena. She stated that it looked like someone tried to enter the vehicle. There were scratches at the top of the door and the rubber seal had holes poked in it. Entry was not gained. Police have no suspects at this time.




On Nov. 9, Killam RCMP were notified of a fuel theft from a vehicle in Alliance. The caller stated that it was the second time that this has happened to him.
