On Oct. 24, a male contacted Killam RCMP and reported that he had found a 20-gauge shotgun in the middle of Highways 13 and 36.

He stated that he found it around 09:30 while he was driving on Highway 13. He also noted that there was a live round stuck in the shotgun. It appeared as though it had fallen out of a vehicle.

RCMP are asking that if anyone has lost their shotgun they should attend the RCMP detachment with a description of the shotgun so it may be returned to the owner.

On Oct. 27, Killam RCMP received a complaint from a female of a possible break and enter in progress at her residence north of Killam.

Three RCMP members attended and searched her residence to make sure no one had gained access into her residence. She explained that she had been sitting at her table and noticed a truck drive past the house very slowly.

She noted it to be a white GMC four-door truck with dried mud covering the vehicle. She saw that the driver was an older male. She had left the table and then heard someone trying to open her door. She ran upstairs and called the police. RCMP made patrols and stopped several vehicles matching the description of the truck, but the drivers did not match. At this time there are no suspects.

On Oct. 28, RCMP were contacted by female who stated that her husband was out following a suspect who had just stolen their quad from their yard, located near Range Road 133 and Township road 452.

RCMP attended and spoke to the owner of the quad. Patrols were made in the area.

The owner indicated that he had heard from a neighbour that an unknown male was in their yard, too.

The neighbour had noted that their vehicle doors were opened and saw a flashlight moving around in their garage. They called their son, who came over and confronted the male, who stated that he was looking for a warm place to sleep.

The male took off once he heard that the RCMP were on their way, and the son followed him.

When RCMP arrived on scene, they followed the son. RCMP located the male and the son in a farmer’s field near the residence. RCMP arrested
