Shawn Slavik and Christie Willis of Killam had their names drawn to become the 31st annual Sweethearts. Christie entered Shawn’s name at a number of participating businesses, so she wasn’t sure which might have been the winning entry. The pair say they already enjoy all that Flagstaff has to offer, and recently they took in the Friends of the Battle River Rail Sausage supper ride to Heisler. As the winners, the two picked up more than $350 in gift certificates as well as prizes and prize baskets as shown above.The couple say they are looking forward to visiting all the participating stores in Flagstaff, and finding some new favourites in the process.
