RCMP dealing with more major theft; skid steer, trailer, ATV stolen from Killam
On Jan. 16 RCMP were notified of a Break and Enter to a garage in Galahad had occurred.
The complainant said that it had occurred about a week ago and that someone broke into his grandmother’s garage.
The door to the garage was kicked in and several tool boxes were opened and contents strewn around the building.
Stolen were socket sets, screwdrivers, and a drill press. RCMP have no suspects at this time.
On Jan. 18 RCMP were notified that someone had stolen a trailer that was parked at the Transit Mix in Killam over the weekend.
Description of the trailer is: Tandem Axle, 20-foot wood deck with a slider-style back end, fold up ramps, and an electric winch on the front end.
Tire tracks were faded and not able to be photographed. RCMP have no suspects at this time.
On Jan. 20, RCMP were notified that someone had broken into the Lougheed Seed Cleaning Plant overnight.
A Gold Acklands Grainger Welder with a “Renel Construction” stamp on it, and a newer 500 litre fuel tank with about 100 litres of fuel in it, were stolen.
On Jan. 22, RCMP were notified that a 16-foot, white, enclosed utility trailer was stolen overnight from the Forestburg Water Treatment Plant.
The trailer had tools and equipment in it. RCMP do not have a list of the trailer contents from the owner at this time.
On Jan. 23 at approximately 5:35 a.m. a truck and trailer pulled in to a Zargon Oil and Gas site and stole $1,200 worth of pipe.
Video camera footage shows two suspects, wearing coveralls with reflectors.
Identity of the suspects is still being investigated.
On Jan. 24 a male contacted Killam RCMP to report that his trailer, containing his DJ equipment, had been stolen.
He had parked his trailer across from the car wash in Daysland after a New Year’s Eve party where he was the DJ.
The trailer is described as black, 14-foot enclosed bumper pull trailer.
The doors were locked and the ball hitch had a lock on it. The trailer had AB Licence plate #4RN105.
The owner noticed the trailer missing on Jan. 24 and contacted police.
On Jan. 27 the manager of Rocky Mountain Equipment in Killam attended the RCMP detachment to report a theft.
He stated that a Case SR220 skid steer was stolen overnight.
He explained that the skid steer was parked between two buildings and was visible from the highway. There are no suspects at this time.
On Jan. 28 a female attended the RCMP detachment to report that her 2013 Polaris RAZR 800 ATV had been stolen overnight.
It was last seen at 8 p.m. on the 27 of Jan. The ATV bears Alberta plate #BGL28.
Neighbourhood inquiries were made. There are no suspects or witnesses.
