In case you missed it: Joan Zacharuk elected new councillor in Alliance
On Monday, September 21, the Village of Alliance held a by-election for the empty position of councillor within the village.
Joan Zacharuk was elected to village council with 58 votes, edging out Kenn Neyrinck who had 32 votes.
A total of 90 votes were cast by Alliance residents, a strong turnout for the community.
As reported in last week’s CP, Zacharuk attended the public forum on Friday, September 11.
“You tell me your truth, and I’ll tell you mine,” she said of the important relationship between council and the public.
