Candidates, by-election, forum all announced for Alliance councillor position

The Village of Alliance held a Nomination Day on Aug. 25 in order to fill a vacant councillor position.

Two nominations were received, according to CAO Jacquie Zacharuk.

Kenn Neyrinck and Joan Zacharuk were both nominated for the councillor position.

A forum for the public to get to know the candidates is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 11, though the date may change at some point this week if anyone involved in the election finds that they will be unable to attend.

If the forum is held on Friday, it will take place in the Rec Centre.

Following the forum, an election date for the position has been scheduled for Sept. 21.
