Municipal Affairs initiating Strome Viability Review
Alberta Municipal Affairs, in accordance with the Municipal Sustainability Strategy, is initiating a Viability Review for the village of Strome.
In a letter dated Nov. 7, Municipal Affairs requested Flagstaff County appoint two representatives to a viability review team, which will also have representation from Municipal Affairs, the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, the Alberta Rural Municipal Administrator’s Association, and the Local Government Administration Association.
Council moved to appoint Councillor Wade Lindseth and CAO Shelly Armstrong to represent the county on the viability review team. The team is expected to meet for the first time in December.
