RCMP investigating taggers in Daysland – racial slur painted on fence
During the period between Tuesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 22, the Killam/ Forestburg RCMP Detachment received a number of complaints of mischief to vehicles in Daysland.
Police say at least three vehicles were vandalized with black spray paint. In one, the entire licence plate was painted black, in another, the signal lights on the vehicle were painted.
A third vehicle had the number ‘420’ painted on the back.
On May 23, police received another complaint in Daysland, that a derogatory racial word had been spray painted on a residential fence in Daysland.
Neighbours of the property owner were appalled, and said they would help cover it up or would clean it on their neighbour’s behalf..
