RCMP dealing with rash of vehicle thefts
On April 7, Killam-Forestburg RCMP responded to a complaint of a stolen truck. The vehicle had been stolen from in front of a business in Daysland. The vehicle was recovered the next day with significant damage. RCMP are continuing to investigate.
Later on April 7, the RCMP responded to a complaint of a “gas and dash” in Daysland. The theft of fuel is believed to have occurred during the late morning hours that day.
RCMP are continuing to investigate this fuel theft as well as the theft of the truck reported earlier that day.
On April 8, the detachment responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had just occurred in Daysland. The vehicle belonged to a company in that area. To date, this vehicle has not been recovered.
Also on April 8, RCMP responded to another complaint of a stolen truck in the Daysland area of Flagstaff County. The vehicle was located and recovered.
RCMP are continuing to investigate these vehicle thefts from the Daysland area.
