Daysland Northstars continue dynasty with 4th consecutive BRHL championship

The Daysland North Stars are your BRHL champions for the fourth consecutive year, and astounding 20th time overall in league history.

Game six of the BRHL final series took place in Hardisty on Friday, March 21.

The Daysland Northstars were up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, looking to clinch their fourth straight title.

The Stampeders were hoping to even the series to force a game seven.

BRHL-15Mar-25-14Fans for both teams packed the Hardisty barn, with the largest crowd of the series in attendance.

Anticipation and excitement was the general feeling.

The evening started with representatives from GCS Energy presenting a giant cheque for $20,000 to the Hardisty Arena Board and the Hardisty Stampeders, on completion of their ‘20 goals for Gold’ challenge.

In the first period the Northstars tipped a shot in off a high stick on the first play on net of the game, but the goal was disallowed.
