Hardisty Stampeders forced to forfeit game one due to league ruling
The Hardisty Stampeders of the Battle River Hockey League lead their semi-final series 3-2, however, they have won four games to the Tofield Satellites’ one win. Why?
The controversy came in game one in Tofield. BRHL president Dustin Edwards says Hardisty had to forfeit game one due to having an ineligible player on the sheet and bench.
“They dressed goalie Adam Bartko from Wainwright as a back up, but didn’t do the proper notification process with the league and Hockey Alberta.
