BRBL plays games despite questionable weather

BRBL-Sl-Jun-18-2013

The Battle River Baseball League played all scheduled games despite some questionable weather Wednesday in Flagstaff County and surrounding areas.

The league-leading Heisler Cardinals travelled to Shorncliffe Lake to play the Amisk Blue Jays, where they took a 5-2 win and remain undefeated in first place in the standings.

The Rosalind As went into week four undefeated, but according to Steve Enright, second baseman for the Athletics, “It was through a comedy of errors by the As, and timely hitting by Coronation, that gave the Cardinals the 10-9 win.”

He added that there was, “Lots of learning and laughs at Burma Bridge Park.” The weather was perfect for ball in the valley.

The Killam Braves hosted the Lougheed Wildcats and came out with a 3-2 win.
