Weather doesn’t stop free plane ride event

The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) at the Flagstaff Regional Airport held a special day for kids, free of charge, to show them what aviation is all about and to give them an experience of being in the cockpit of an aircraft in flight.

In spite of the nasty weather experienced last Saturday, May 25, 27 young people showed up to take a flight in an airplane with an experiened pilot.

The pilots involved were: Glen Muzyta of Lloydminister, Vern Snethun of Lougheed, Lynn Steadman of Sedgewick, Gerrard Fetaz of Halkirk, Doug Niehaus of Lougheed, and Stan Chevraux of Killam.
