World famous trainer offers Mule Training Clinic in Forestburg

Jerry Tindell, a renowned mule and donkey trainer, held an open clinic at he Flagstaff Riding Arena from May 9 to May 12.

There were eight students enrolled, which is the maximum Tindell will take.

Tindell started the training with a farrier course. He said there are three main problems for an animal’s foot. They are the toe height, pinched heels, and underslung hooves.

Tindell showed corrections to each animal before and after their hooves were trimmed.

“A mustang, mule, and a donkey have different mind sets,” says Tindell.
