River Hills Chorus serenades Hardisty
The Hardisty UCW had an early Mother’s Day Strawberry Tea at the United Church on Saturday, May 4, followed by a concert from the River Hills Chorus, based out of Wainwright.
The Chorus is a group of women who perform barbershop music, and are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International.
Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance.
The River Hill Chorus are billed as being from Wainwright, but have singers from all over, including Czar and Hardisty.
The group started out with a medley mash up of Canadian favourites that included bits of Alberta Bound, and This Land is Your Land.
