Red Serge Ball honours RCMP and community
What’s better than being a Canadian on a Saturday night in Killam; listening to a performance of Hockey Night in Canada’s theme song performed on bagpipes, by members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police?
On Saturday night in Killam, just over 200 packed into the Killam Community Hall to enjoy the seventh annual Red Serge Ball.
The ball is held yearly to show support of our local RCMP detachment members, and to raise funds for Flagstaff Victim Services, and another community organization, which changes from year to year. For the second time in a row this year, however, Flagstaff Libraries were the other beneficiaries of the ball’s proceeds.
