Lloydminster forces game 7 against Killam Wheat Kings
The Killam Wheat Kings Jr. B hockey team have found themselves tied at three games in the best-of-seven first round playoff matchup with the Lloydminster Bandits after blowing a two game lead.
The Wheat Kings were up two games when they travelled to Lloydminster on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and after a defensive breakdown, the Bandits were able to come back from chasing the lead all game and win 8-6.
While the teams were leaving the ice, Wheaties goaltender MacKinnon had a moment of frustration and a lapse in judgment as he hacked a Bandit player with his blocker and received a two-game match penalty, sidelining him for the next two games.
