The Strome and District Ag Society and the Strome Community League donated $10,000 to the Daysland Arena in support of the donation drive sponsored by the Daysland and District Ag Society. The fundraising drive is in conjunction with the Arena Annual Spring Social and Fundraiser.

Good Friday started in Forestburg with the Walk with the Cross. Several people met at the Big Knife Villa at 9:30 a.m. to meet up with Reverend Jope and while singing hymns, proceeded to walk the cross up to the Forestburg Community Centre, where a Ecumenical Service was held.
The Daysarts 2011-12 concert series ended Wednesday, Apr. 4 at the Palace Theatre with a performance from Valdy. The night started out with a tap performance from a group of young ladies from the Peacock Academy of Dance, dressed as Marilyn Monroe and performing “Diamonds are a Girl’s best friend.”
The Big Knife Villa in Forestburg held a strawberry shortcake tea on Wednesday, Apr. 4. Along with delicious shortcake, they had the Sunshine Cloggers from Bashaw to come and entertain their guests.

The Daysland North-stars earned a spot in the Alberta senior men’s “AA-A” provincial tournament in Vermilion, hosted by the Dewberry Mustangs Mar. 30 – Apr. 1.
