Hardisty Christmas Concert a grinchy delight
Hardisty’s Allan Johnstone School students entertained the community, Thursday as they held their Christmas concert, the afternoon of Dec. 13 in the Community Hall.
They collected food bank items and a silver collection at the door.
Grade Nine students Connor Metz and Kaitlyn Mazure acted as joint emcees, introducing each act.
The first performance came from the Grade Seven and Eights, who performed the Grinch who stole Christmas, with a few creative twists on this classic favourite.

The Grade Threes and Fours presented an adorable version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and were followed by the Grade Fives and Sixes reciting the poem, “Yuletide,” then dancing up a storm with “Christmas at the Hop.”
The Grade Nines then returned to the stage for the finale, “Santa Claus is coming to town,” featuring the big man himself on drums.
Afterwards audience members were overheard to say how much they had enjoyed the concert, as happy entertainers posed for photos and greeted their guests.
