Public Hearing in Forestburg brings forward Sea Can Issues from business owners

The Council of the Village of Forestburg held a scheduled Public Hearing on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Village of Forestburg Administra-tion Office regarding the proposed adoption of Bylaw 10:2012 – Land Use Bylaw.

The proposed changes to the Land Use Bylaw are: a) Definition of “Front Yard’, “Garage” and “Sea Cans”; b) Addition of Section 814 dealing with Sea Cans; c) Addition of Section 821 dealing with visibility at corners, which will directly affect the construction of fences and landscaping on corner lots.

Doug Brown, of Battle River Ironworks; Merlin Badry, of Forestburg Welding and Machining; and Blaise Young, of Forestburg Recycling and Bottle Depot were all in attendance.

“We need your input on this issue,” said Forestburg Mayor Robert Frizzell.
