Forestburg opens 23rd concert series with a Command performance

At the beginning of the first performance of the 2012 – 2013 Forestburg Concert Series on Saturday, Nov. 17 in Forestburg at the Community Hall, Rev. Jope Langejans announced there would be an all-Albertan roster this season.

Opening the night’s concert were the Command Sisters from Stony Plain.

“We are very excited to be here,” said Charlotte Command.

“We are going to open with ‘White Dress,’ a song which the video for was shot on a rooftop in Nashville on the 4th of July with fireworks going off behind us!”

From there, they sang a lot of original songs, plus some Christmas music such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ended the first session with Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah.’
