Alliance Arena to receive federal funding for infrastructure

In an announcement last week, Leon Benoit announced that the Alliance Community Multiplex would be receiving federal funding under the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF).

“I am proud to see the Village of Alliance benefit from our Govern-ment’s commitment to supporting local infrastructure,” said Benoit.

“This investment will help create jobs and growth, and will support the prosperity of the community for years to come.”

Funding in the amount of $36,892 will go towards internal and external renovations to the Alliance Community Multiplex, including the installation of sidewalks.

Village CAO Laura Towers has known about the funding for a few weeks, but was unable to speak until the official announcement was made.
