Stampeders open their BRHL season with a pair of losses

The Hardisty Stampeders hosted the Tofield Satellites in their season home opener in the Battle River Hockey League on Saturday, Nov. 10.

The home town fans came out in droves to support their boys, unfortunately the fans got to see their team get beat in all aspects of the game and lose 8 – 2.

The Satellites tested the Stampeder’s goalie early on and scored on the second shot of the game.

Hardisty got on the board on a goal from Cam Dion, assisted by Trevor Bromby, in the first but the team was down 3 – 1 after the first to the visitors.

The Satellites added two more goals in the second to go up by a score of 5 – 1 and prompted the Stampe-ders to make the goaltender change from Grant Friesen to Nic Lischka.
