Great year at the track for Curtis Hogg
Sedgewick’s Curtis Hogg won the High Point trophy for the All Pro Canadian Chuck-wagon and Chariot Association.
“I had a great year at the track,” said Hogg. “I finished first in Grande Prairie, Hand Hills, Saddle Lake, the Ponoka Stampede, Horse-man’s Association at Saddle Lake, and at Kehewin.
“I came in second place in Whitecourt and third at Bruce.
“I finished with 917.5 points, beating second place driver Chris Arcand, third place Louis Johner, and fourth place Jake VanRingen. There are 75 drivers altogether.
“Not only did I capture first place,” says Hogg, “I also won the ‘Clean Drive Wagon,’ the Deb Quast Memorial Trophy, and I did that with my own raised horses.
“They were penalty free all year. They really jelled this year and I’m very proud of them.”
