Wheat Kings Vault to First Place tie
The Killam Wheat Kings hosted the Saddle Lake Warriors at the Killam Agriplex on Friday, Oct. 26.
The Wheaties outshot the Warriors 43-13 and were 1-6 on the power-play while holding the Warriors to 1-7 with the extra attacker.
Killam dominated every aspect of the game and went on to win 10-2.
The Wheat Kings’ James Newby led the way, scoring five goals, and Austin Wilson picked up five points with a goal and four assists.
Also scoring for the home team were: Wyatt Fraser, Richard Lansing, Jared Heisler, and Gary Horte.
On Saturday, Oct. 27, the Wheat Kings travelled to Lloydminster where they faced off against the Bandits.
