Hardisty invites public input into strategic planning during Open House
The Town of Hardisty’s Open House was held in the Hardisty Community on Thursday, Oct. 4.
Mayor Kevin O’Grady thanked the councillors and people for coming out.
”We are trying to get direction as to where we are going,” opened O’Grady.
Councillors present were Lyle Welder, Deputy Mayor Sinclair Piller, Jeremy Ottenbreit, Greg Miller, and Donna Buelow.
Bradley Drozdowski was unable to attend.
Council advised that their vision statement has been changed for 2013 and will now include the phrase, ‘We will grow and prosper with community engagement.’
The 2013 mission statement also includes the phrase, ‘As a Council we will strive to provide leadership, partnership, integrity, and engagement.’
Council identified some of their 2013-2015 priorities as continued collaboration with the Village of Lougheed, and to look for other opportunities with neighbouring municipalities.
