Capital Power invites local residents to be part of history at new wind farm
The Village of Halkirk is the site of a new project, where, over the past year or so, Capital Power has been working on the construction of the province’s largest wind farm, generating 150 megawatts of power from 83 wind turbines.
Hundreds of interested visitors turned out in Halkirk on Wednesday, Sept. 19 to sign a blade for history’s sake.
“Capital Power appreciates the warm, western welcome from the community of Halkirk and now, we want to return the favour,” said Michael Sheenan, the company’s media relations manager, during the event.
