Petiot and Oberg bring Calder Cup to Flagstaff

Hockey fans and players in Daysland both got a special treat on Tuesday, July 31, when Richard Petiot brought the Calder Cup to the Daysland arena.

Petiot, friends, and family had a ball hockey ‘shirts and skins’ game, with Petiot’s team having twice the players as the other team.
When a winner was finally decided, Petiot presented the players with the cup, and gave each an opportunity to hoist it overhead, then posed for a team picture with the historical prize.

On Thursday, Aug. 2 friends and family of Evan Oberg gathered at the Forestburg Golf Club to congratulate Oberg and to ogle the Cup, the prestigious AHL championship trophy which the Norfolk Admirals won this last season of hockey.
