Sawyer Clarke Robison, beginning trial for attempted murder charges of two RCMP stemming from an incident in February, was denied bail Wednesday in a court room in Camrose.

Robison, 27, of Sedgewick is facing 17 charges in total, 15 of which are weapons-related.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The original bail hearing was held last Tuesday in Killam courthouse, but the judge’s ruling was postponed to Wednesday.

The February 7th incident occurred on a rural farm between Lougheed and Sedgewick and left two Killam/Forestburg RCMP badly wounded and Robison’s uncle, dead.

More as it develops.
