Forestburg’s Town Council held a Community Engagement Evening at the Forestburg Community Hall on Monday, Mar. 12. This was an evening to have the opportunity to review past performances, to be informed of future projects, and to provide input into community needs.
The Daysland North-stars won both games on the weekend against the Provost Blades to take a 3-1 series lead in the final round of the BRHL playoffs. Game three took place in Provost on Friday, Mar. 16.

The Alliance Argyle W.I. hosted Donna Coombs to speak on behalf of the SOS (Service Options for Seniors) on Thursday, Mar. 8 at the Alliance Community Hall. Several seniors were in attendance to listen to Coombs speak on behalf of this non-profit society.
The Killam and Daysland Fire Departments conducted a controlled burn northeast of Killam on Saturday, Mar. 10, at the request of landowners Howard and Brenda Siebold. Siebolds are planning to put a new home in their yard, and needed the original homestead, which had fallen into disrepair, removed.
At Flagstaff Community Adult Learning, they work at serving the community’s ongoing needs for learning. The Killam Wheat Kings were up three games on the Vegreville Rangers and looking to clinch a spot in the finals as they headed to Vegreville for game five on Wednesday, Mar. 7. There were many family, friends, and fans who made the trek to show support for the hometown boys.
