Red Serge Ball has sellout crowd
The sixth annual Red Serge Ball was held Saturday evening in Killam, with a sellout crowd for the first time in its history.
Organizers Darrin and Cheryl Holben said that they were selling tickets before they were even back from the printers.
The proceeds of the ball were designated to FIRST (Flagstaff’s Initiative to Relationship and Spousal Trauma) and to Flagstaff’s Libraries. Proceeds of items sold at the traditional wild card auction, where items and services are donated on the spur of the moment, were designated for Evan Wallace, the 4-year-old Sedgewick girl who is fighting leukemia.
To start the evening off on the right foot, the Regimental RCMP Pipes and Drums band escorted the honoured guests into the hall.
