Flagstaff Community Adult Learning promotes lifelong learning

At Flagstaff Community Adult Learning, they work at serving the community’s ongoing needs for learning.

Through a number of projects, like the non-credit courses outlined four times a year, which range from Scaredy Cat computer courses to one called ‘Cooking and conversation,’ coordinator Val Rathjen says,

“It’s about the idea of lifelong learning.”

Sometimes people need specific skills to help them re-enter the job market after a lapse, and sometimes it’s about connecting newcomers to the area to new activities, which may also provide them with the beginnings of a social network.
