Wheat Kings one win away from playing in NEAJBHL finals

    Killam Wheat Kings hosted the Vegreville Rangers for games three and four in Killam on the weekend. Killam took a 3-1 series lead over the Rangers, winning both games.

    On Friday, Mar. 2, the Wheat Kings took the early lead at the midway point of the first period on a goal by Travis Thompson from Jason Yuha.

    In the second, Killam took a four point lead with goals from Cory Martz, James Newby (PP), and Wyatt Fraser while the defense kept the Rangers off the score board.

    The Rangers mounted their comeback in the third by connecting on two power-play chances early in the third then added a another goal to come within one.
