Battle River Watershed Alliance identifies priorities at Forestburg meeting

Val Vincett – Staff Reporter

The Battle River Watershed Alliance (BRWA) held a meeting at the Forestburg Community Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

This was a workshop designed to hear back on what Flagstaff residents told the committee about the land and water during BRWA’s November 2011 community workshops, plus a chance to tell the committee what the most pressing issues in your region are.

Hugh Sanders, board chair for the BRWA, welcomed everyone to the meeting of approximately 50 people, and explained the board’s strategic plan to organize their work.

First comes policy development, then knowledge mobilization, and watershed management, and alliance management.
