Heisler Ag. Society holds Grain Marketing Seminar for farmers

The Heisler Agricultural Society held a grain marketing seminar on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Heisler Rec Centre.
Representatives from Cargill Grain and Battle River Railway were there to speak to farmers about the options they have when marketing their grain.
Matt Enright, Grains Manager for the Battle River Rail said, “Why am I doing this? It’s all about price risk management. When you plant your crop in the spring your yield can change, the price can change.
“Farmers realize costs of putting a crop in the ground but we have to learn how to manage those risks.
