Census figures show dip in Flagstaff population

The numbers for the 2011 Census are in, and they’re not great for everyone.
Flagstaff County, including all the towns and villages, shows an overall decline in population by just over six per cent.
Two municipalities in the county showed an overall increase in population since 2006, the last time a federal census was taken, those are Alliance, whose population grew from 158 to 174, a 10.1 per cent increase, and Lougheed, whose population grew from 217 to 233 over the census period, 7.4 per cent growth.
