Flagstaff Schools stand up against bullying

The last Wednesday in February is informally becoming known as Anti-Bullying Day in Canada, also celebrated as Pink Shirt Day.
A group of parents in Flagstaff decided to make a strong stand against bullying this year, and want to get the message out.
They approached the Battle River School Division administration for help, with tremendous results.
In a message to members of the community from BRSD Board Chair Cheryl Smith, she says, “Here in Battle River School Division, we believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, in a safe and caring environment.
“We try, through our programs, our initiatives and our actions, to ensure that every student in every school feels like they are accepted and they belong.
