Opening remarks came from County Reeve, Henry Hays.

“Welcome,” Hays introduced the present council and gave a brief history of council.

“We’ve had a transition of growth over the past 15 years and after a lot of research and planning the County purchased 68 acres just north of Sedgewick.

“The original cost of the new building came in at $7.8 million but that had to be bumped up to $8.2 million after all work was completed, but the building did come in at $68,000 under budget.
