Kristen Hauck-Elkow and Brad Elkow didn’t expect to have 2012’s New Year’s Baby, seeing as her due date was later in January, but circumstances turned in their favour in more than one way on Monday, Jan. 23 when Tannyn John Elkow decided to make his way into the world.
Coincidentally, Tannyn was born on the first day of the Chinese New Year, which ushers in the Year of the Dragon.
According to some accounts of the Chinese Zodiac, those born under the sign of the Dragon are born to lead, with heads held high.
Weighing eight pounds and 13 ounces, at 21 inches tall, Tannyn was a welcome sight to mom Kristen, dad Brad, and big brother Mason.
