Halkirk I Wind Project

    In a recent issue of Renew Canada magazine, the top 100 Mega-projects of Canada were announced, and number 74 was the Halkirk I Wind Project, at $357 million.

    Capital Power will build, own and operate the Halkirk I project, and is projecting a capacity of $150,000 MWs.

    Construction is imminent, and should be completed near the end of 2012, with all approvals and permits from AUC and Alberta Environment in place.
