Sedgewick Sharks Hosts Minor Hockey Weekend

Sedgewick arena was a busy place over the weekend as they hosted their Minor Hockey weekend with five minor hockey games and two Sabres games.
The participating teams used this opportunity to help out kids with cancer. They held a raffle of a signed Edmonton Oil Kings stick. All proceeds from the draw will go directly to kids with cancer in Evan Wallace’s name; there was also information on how to be a donor for both blood and bone marrow.
On Saturday morning, the Initiation Sharks started the event off with a game where the team split into two teams and battled it out on the ice.
At this level of hockey sometimes just staying upright is a huge accomplishment, but these little players don’t give up, and some of them are already pretty skilled players.
