Northstars pull out an overtime win against Blades

    Daysland Northstars hosted the Provost Blades on Saturday evening to a packed house.

    The Northstars started strong with four goals in the first period, to the Blades’ two, with Gregory Doll, Derek Wolbeck, Brad Trautman and Tyler Hurum all scoring.

    The teams scored one each in the second, with Daysland’s goal scored by Colin Zimmer, and the play was end to end in the third, where the Blades scored two to force overtime play.

    Daysland out-played and outskated Provost in the first period, and the game was extremely entertaining with end-to-end play right up to the third period.
