Enbridge Pipelines Inc. is proud to support the Hardisty Emergency Management Agency through a $15,000 donation as part of its commitment to keeping communities safe.

The funds will help the agency purchase a backup power generator for an emergency operations centre.
The cheque was presented to Alan Parkin, Director of Hardisty Emergency Management Agency, and Todd Baumgartner, Hardisty Fire Department Chief on Friday morning, along with Hardisty Mayor Kevin O’Grady, and councillor Lyle Welder by Craig Matwick, Community Relations for Enbridge.
This final donation should bring funding to 100 per cent from donations.
“At Enbridge we take great pride investing in the communities where we work,” said Dale Burgess, Western Region General Manager for Enbridge.
“We are happy to fund a project that will help the fire department continue to provide exceptional service to the community of Hardisty.”
The emergency operations centre will give the Hardisty Fire Department access to backup power and adequate communications systems in the case of an emergency.
Enbridge’s donation fulfilled the funds remaining to enable the fire department to purchase the generator.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Projects like this help build stronger communities, and I am proud to be a part of that,” said Burgess.
Through investments in partnerships and human capital, Enbridge supports organizations that contribute to the economic, environmental and social well-being of towns near its operations.
